Seaside
Painted on a cold early spring day in March. Walking along the swedish coastline, collecting shells, crisp air on the bare skin. A cabin by the sea, a fire place, a moment of freedom.
Breathing
Standing on my balcony with a view of my lush backyard jungle. Selfdoubt, feeling of being stuck. Several layers of colors, hiding, covering up, new chances. Taking distance in the end to feel space and calmness.
Purple Expression
Experimenting with new color palettes and composition. A sprinkle of melancholy in the way the finger moves over the paper. A dynamic movement, yet careful and tender.
Vows
Organic forms adapting, supporting each other, taking space, making space, elvoving in togetherness. Smooth edges and earth colors representing the natural process. The original painting was a wedding gift for two friends.
Wondering
Autumn has arrived and it arises feelings of wanting to hide, to retreat, to reflect. Contemplating if I am on the right path, if I listen to my intuition, if I allow myself to adjust if necessary.
Longing
Imagining a life that could be, expanding hope, dreams, desires; wanting to belong. Small patches of obstacles along the road, not knowing where it will lead us.
Air & Fire
A long process, but finally decided to take a long break for myself, starting off with a week alone at a tiny cabin with a view over the fjord, watching the winter ice melting day by day. Finding peace in the silence.
Pusteblume
The last painting from my floating art studio. Reflections on the water from the bright summer sun. A chapter comes to an end, barefoot, a summer dress, lightness, gratitude for the day and the space.
Falling
One of my first paintings. A small paper format, the texture of my fingerprints, layer over layer, colors appearing and disappearing. Winter has passed, spring has arrived, confident and bold in my decisions, everything is falling into place.
Sweet Memories
One stroke of paint, two years later another stroke of paint. Life happened while the painting rested inbetween. Memories have fainted, new memories have been created, they overlap and live side by side.
Dreaming
Sitting on the floor of my little wooden studio, floating on a river, this painting just evolved without a plan, it unfolded with ease. Colors at hand and soft movements.
Balance
Painted on a wide window shelf. Bright light, happiness, trust, being in the middle of the happening, buzzing atmosphere from the city underneath me, yet clear in my mind with the summer sun in my face.
Little storm
Winter days, darkness, candle light. Lots of feelings, confusion meets hope. Change, rooted in something and expanding somewhere.
Transitioning
Warming summer sun through the window, casting shadows on the canvas. I sketched the shadowplay and while the sun was moving, the painting evolved. It was done by the time the sun was setting and dipping the room in a golden light.
Out of Line
Clarity came while enjoying some alone time and silence in the break between the years. With the clarity came courage to step backwards to adjust direction, even though it might not follow the conventional way.
