ABOUT ME

I’m Farina, a trained architect and project leader working with concept development at the intersection of space, atmosphere, and experience.

My background is in architecture, with several years of experience coordinating projects and developing concepts that translate ideas into coherent spatial structures. I’m particularly interested in how environments are built up conceptually, and how materials, proportions, light and scent shape how a place is experienced.

Drawing from my background in architecture, I work with visual, sensory, and spatial elements as tools for concept development, exploring presence as a quality that can be structured and embedded into environments and experiences.

After moving to Norway in 2016, nature became an important reference point in my work, leading me to study aromatherapy and increasing my awareness of the psychological effects of scent in everyday life.

My work is driven by a belief that well-considered concepts allow people to feel more present and at home in the spaces they inhabit.

FARIKOLOR | MY ART PROCESS

My artworks are inspired by emotions, light, and female body shapes.

Each piece is very intimate, emerging as I paint. By painting with my fingers and hands I find a more playful and immediate interaction between my body and the paper. Whether or not I start with a plan, the process, and especially the color palette always takes on its own intuitive dynamic.

Every painting tells a story from the moment of its creation. It relates to my thoughts, emotions and surroundings, consiously and unconsiously. For me, intuitive painting is about letting go of control, allowing the process to unfold. It’s about daring, destroying, and creating something new. It’s about allowing.

ROOT & RESET | MY WELLNESS APPROACH

Root & Reset began as my way to slow down and reorient. Through painting, bathing, time in nature, journaling, and working with essential oils, I explored how simple, repeated practices can create clarity, not by planning more, but by paying attention to what is already present.

Over time, Root & Reset became a curated selection of reflections, questions, and simple tools, exploring how we root into what is steady and reset into what feels true, even in periods of uncertainty.
