Creative Practice
of Presence
Welcome to Atelier Ecke
— A studio for the senses.
ABOUT ME
Atelier Ecke is my way of working.
I am Farina, a trained architect and project leader, with a passion for working creatively with my own hands. The creative process itself is a way to meditate for me, to find focus in a stimulating world.
My favourite way is to rearrange my own apartment over and over again, building tailor-made interior solutions, painting with oil on paper using my fingers, and taking photos of moody moments, especially sunny ones.
I love exploring compositions, physically in the real world, or visually on a screen. When I feel restless, I start rearranging the space around me. It often starts an emotional processing that might be underlying the restlessness, and it provides fresh perspectives by making the room look and feel different from what I have been used to.
Small changes can have a big impact on how we experience and inhabit a space.

COMPOSITIONS
I find calmness in putting together harmonious colours and compositions. And those compositions can stimulate something in others too. They can inspire or trigger something emotionally. They can help connect to, or remind us of, a dream or a feeling we are longing for. They can be a mirror of where we are in that moment, without saying a word.
This way of working is something I bring into projects as well.
Whether it’s shaping a space, structuring a website, or developing a visual direction, I look for compositions that feel clear, balanced, and intuitive to navigate.
I’m interested in how small shifts in layout, colour, and structure can change how something is experienced, and how it makes people feel.
